GOAL 10: Reduce inequalities

Reduce inequality within and between countries:

By disproportionately affecting the poorest and most vulnerable groups, climate change and "natural" disasters contribute to exacerbating existing inequalities within and between countries.  

On the other hand, the environment can contribute to reducing inequity, including through the rational management of natural resources and critical ecosystems, as well as supporting institutional arrangements regarding the use of and access to natural resources. Lack of access to natural resources, on the other hand, is a major factor contributing to inequality.
